9/27 Class Review

We started the class by reviewing the four characters the students learned last week. Students, using their best calligraphy skills, took turns writing the characters up on the whiteboard. We devoted time to evaluate the students' calligraphy and discussed which characters were well written and which ones could use improvement.

Next, the student's learned four new characters: , , , . Students took turns forming words and phrases using those new characters. Their creativity was impressive! Following, students had the opportunity to practice writing the characters.

Following the writing practice, we did a quick quiz, asking the students to circle or color the characters they already knew from a work sheet. The majority was at a similar level, knowing some simple characters and most of the numbers.

Since 9/27 was also the Mid-Autumn Festival, we concluded the lesson with a story, which explained the origins of this holiday. Students listened politely and asked great questions!
